Thanks to our servicemen and servicewomen! This November many businesses—and places throughout the country—want to show their appreciation for the military by offering free meals and other discounts in honor of Veterans Day or Military Family Appreciation Month. This convenient list can help you find some of the freebies and savings at restaurants, attractions, and more. To take advantage of these promotions, don’t forget to bring your Military ID or other proof of service.

From 5:00 a.m.–noon veterans can enjoy a free Build Your Own Grand Slam Breakfast.
Friendly’s
Free breakfast, lunch or dinner on November 11, 2015
Friendly’s honors veterans and active military with a free breakfast, lunch or dinner. Guests can receive the Big-Two-Do® for breakfast or an All American Burger with fries and beverage for lunch or dinner.
Golden Corral
Free Military Appreciation “thank you” dinner from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on November 11, 2015
Anyone who has served in the U.S. military, including retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard or Reserves, can receive a free “thank you” dinner at Golden Corral restaurants. This is Golden Corral’s 14th annual Military Appreciation dinner. They have served over 4.4 million free “thank you” meals to our heroes.
Olive Garden
Free entrée from a special menu on November 11, 2015
Veterans and current members of the military can dine for free by choosing an entrée from a special menu. All entrees include freshly baked garlic breadsticks and a choice of homemade soup or house salad. Their spouses and children receive 10% off their meal (excluding alcoholic beverages, tax and gratuity).

Free lunch – November 11, 2015
Until 4:00 p.m., all veterans and active duty military can receive a free lunch at participating locations. The choices include a 6 oz. Steak, a Single Malibu Chicken or Half Dozen Crispy Shrimp. Each of these entrées comes with a choice of a side dish and a free beverage (coffee, tea, or fountain drink).

Great Clips
Thank a Veteran Free Haircut Card Promotion on November 11, 2015
Customers who stop in for service at any Great Clips salon in the United States get a free haircut card to give to a veteran. The free haircut cards are redeemable by all active, inactive, disabled, retired and reserve members of the military until December 31, 2015. Also, veterans can come into any salon on Nov. 11 to receive a free haircut or receive a free haircut card to be used before the end of the year.
Veterans Day Cruise, Boston, MA
Free cruise on Saturday, November 7, 2015
Veterans and active military can take a free cruise highlighting the military history of Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park. The trip includes a visit to Fort Warren on Georges Island for a guided tour, family-friendly activities and a Civil War living history walk. The ferry departs from Long Wharf on Boston’s Downtown Waterfront at 11:00 am on November 7, 2015.

All active duty military, veterans and their families will be admitted to the museum for free on November 7, 8 & 11. In honor of this special holiday, all active and retired military, veterans and their dependents will receive free admission on November 9, 10 & 11.
Oregon Zoo – Portland, OR
Free admission for military personnel and family members on November 11
Military veterans and active duty military and the family members who accompany them to the zoo can receive free admission on November 11, from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Families of deployed military members will also be given free admission.
